The Wrapper by Laverinth The Wrapper by Laverinth
Here we have the three Longbottoms in a variation of a scene from OotP. I wanted to make sure the wrapper was the brightest thing in the piece, and in Gryffindor colors even though Rowling has stated that the wrappers held no real significance.

One of the saddest scenes in the books.  Lovely work!

She had to have been misquoted. That wrapper was as important as can be in that scene. She wrote it that way, no misreading it.

i actually cried during this scene it was so sad, you did an incredible job. and i believe the wrapper did hold significance, i think Neville kept every single one of them.

Personally, I believe the wrapper stood for hope or showed that she still loved and cared for him. I mean, it was all she had to give him for Christmas, and Neville was kind enough to accept it. A Malfoy wouldn't do that. I guess it kind of shows loyalty.

I wish they showed that scene in the movie instead of skating around the St. Mungos scenes.

Oh, this is one of the saddest part in book 5! I have to say that this is not all how I pictured it, but it comes close. There is a lot of emotion in that scene in the book, and I think that you captured it here.

Great job! :D

I both loved and hated the scene in the book. It was filled with emotions, same as this picture is. You managed to catch the atmosphere preciselly...and now I'm gonna be sad the whole day TT
